Receiving flowers from a dear friend is a treat but when you discover that they are from the Dubble Bubble plant, squeals of delight emanate from dentists’ office for miles around. Addicted gum-chewers (no shame, I am one of many) and baseball players are happy as well. American eagles are perhaps the largest consumers of said gum so I am glad mine are inside and out of the talon-reach of our national bird.
